The UKRC is the UK’s leading organisation for gender equality for women and girls in science, engineering and technology (SET). We provide a central source of expertise, evidence and best practice to influence change in the gender balance of the science, engineering and technology workforce in order to support business growth and the lifetime earnings and career aspirations of women. Set up in 2004, The UKRC seeks to influence change in SET industry, organisations and in the education sectors by working at a strategic, organisational and programme level, by promoting models of best practice and using products or training as strategic tools of engagement. We build the diversity awareness of organisations, encourage them to embed equality into their own practices and programmes and give recognition for achievement through our Award schemes, SET Fair Standard and Athena SWAN for higher education institutions.
